Why to model NP?

Rugged mountains, a track that winds trough forrests in many cases through unpopulated areas. All mixed up with powerful steam, and colorful mix of diesels. And last but not least, the beautyful schemes in passanger trains.

The surrondings are reminding the area where I live, which is Dalecarlia, Sweden. The freightst are loaded pretty much with same kind of goods I see daily, which is a lot of forrestry products, few if any anything else.

The idea of this page is to provide within time information and hopefully inspiration not only to model NP, but model railroading in general. I model mainly in H0-scale, which is the most common scale.
